Policyholders

An insurance policy offers a promise – a promise to indemnify or “bring a policyholder back to whole” based on the coverage and limitations agreed to in the policy. If you’re a policyholder of ours, you are an important partner to that agreement. Most policyholders think of their retail insurance agent as the face of the insurance company.

General Agents

In 1985, the insurance industry faced a crisis. Nautilus came on the scene to fill a void in the market by working through General Agents to provide insurance coverage. Retail agents often work through General Agents when they need access to specialized insurance companies. We have partnered with the General Agency channel ever since. Many of our General Agents have been partners since we started Nautilus.

We work with roughly 100 General Agencies throughout the United States. We take our relationship with them very seriously, and they in turn value their relationship with us. Most of our partners write more than $1 million in written premium with us. Rarely do we add new agencies to our distribution mix. When we do, there are high expectations for growth and success from both parties.
